I hope you all are having a great day!
Did you know there are service connected disabled veterans in our country who are in need of shelter? Did you know there are some who are having trouble making an utility payment and keeping the electricity on in their home? Did you know some are in need of transportation to medical appointments at the VA Medical Center or Community Based Outpatient Clinics? Have you seen the flooding in Baton Rouge and other natural disasters throughout the country?
Well, the DAV has proven it's worth time and time again.
- Fighting for the benefits earned through honorable service to our nation, the Benefits Protection Team holds or politicians in Washington accountable for seeing the benefits don't disappear.
- Through a Van Transportation Network, the DAV provides rides to and from VA medical centers and clinics. Chapter, department and national service officers provide help veterans file and apply for VA disability compensation.
- DAV chapters help in the search for employment, rehabilative services, education benefits, and other services to those service connected disabled veterans.
- Disaster relief is also part of the equation as demonstrated recently with chapters, departments and DAV national going to the aid of those service connected disabled veterans in Baton Rouge, LA.
All of these services and support are provided through a network of volunteers. The services are provided free of charge and monetary assistance is through grants and not loans. There is no requirement for those service connected disabled veterans to be a member of the DAV in order to be considered for assistance.
If you are unable to support me through a donation at this time, please, just say a prayer for my ability to run the good race.
Thank you,
Laird

Just Updated My Linkedin Account
Hello Everyone!
I just updated my Linkedin account and decided I would try to strike up some interest in this worthy cause. I have raised $300.00 so far and I do appreciate those who have contributed this past week.
If you feel you don't have anything to give, any little bit helps our service connected disabled veterans. If you don't have two pennies to rub together, just keep my quest to raise money through donations in your prayers.
Thanks for taking the time!
Laird
